The only activities that AG is kinda ignoring, in my opinion, is girls who are musicians, artists, theatre kids. Now, I know they have the violin and the flute, but they used to have a recital outfit, I'd like to see another one of those. Another painter outfit, and a costume trunk.

Do ten year olds do track and field?
________________
I did, from eight until highschool. My brother also coached a (different) track and field team for kids 6-highschool. There are meets for them and everything . I went to state twice! One of the kids my brother coached went to nationals, which is to be expected since my brother went to state in highschool (took second) and nationals in college (took fourth!).
I was just trying to make a point, though, that there are things out there other than dance. Like model railroading! And volunteering at the hospital! And sewing, and polo, and so on and so forth. I won't mind if AG comes out wiht another dance outfit, but I'd like something different. How will they know girls will like it or not unless they try it?

I hope they make another ballet outfit. I liked how they were doing it before- the outfits based on specific ballets. I have the first 3 outfits- Sugarplum Fairy, Coppelia, and Swan Lake. It would be nice if they did Giselle, for example.
I don't think we had track and field in middle school. My sister and brother started Cross Country in tribal elementary school, but long distance running is a Pueblo tradition.
Dance, as Cami said, is something that nearly all girls have experienced. It definitely speaks to a market- while track and field might not. I do agree with the sentiment that there should be another musical recital outfit- I did not care for the previous ones. We always wore simple black skirts and white shirts- never a mini tuxedo or a jumper.

I would love it if American Girl came out with ballet outfits for all the major ballets, Firebird, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Giselle, etc.
I also think they should make outfits for all the other popular activities kids that age are into.
